History

The steamship Calabria was formerly Italian, captured by the British. She was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-103 in December 1940, on a voyage from Freetown to the Clyde.
Her entire company of 130 crew and 230 Indian passengers (crews for other ships) were lost.
